The one good thing about getting my purse stolen, was I was forced to get a new cellphone. I’ve been wanting a digital camera forever, so now I finally have one on my new, electric blue Katana! I’m so excited! That just may mean more photos on my blog, too. That is, as soon as I can figure out how to get them from the phone to this blog
(Actually I know how…but its not working!)
I remember 14 years ago…it was my 3rd child and since my ob/gyn had yet to make it to one of my deliveries, we decided to schedule this one. I figured, Great! #2 was born 20 minutes after we hit the hospital…#3 would also come popping out once they started me on a little medicine to kick up the contractions. Ah…NO. Took all day…boring day, waiting day…until finally just after 4pm, little K3 finally showed his face to the world. And I do say “little” because we were expecting over 10 pounds and he was a “tiny” 8 lbs. 9 ounces. Again, different from #2, who was a strapping 9′7″.
And now he’s 14 years old! How can that be….he had a fun weekend, collecting gifts and cake and being in the spotlight…which is what he truly lives for; being in the spotlight! This is the one we’ve always said will take David Letterman’s chair when he finally retires
Clothes horse, ladies man, athlete, funny life of the party…that’s K3! He truly sees the world differently that most of us do.

IndyPaws.com…. “my” website…fun conversations with pet lovers…
Yeah, Fridays always feel so much better than Mondays. Today we’re leaving work a bit early and heading directly up to Chicago to pick up K3 at Grandma’s. Today is his 14th birthday, so I know its strange for him to be away from home on that day. He’s had a fun week, however, being spoiled by the grandma he doesn’t get to see very much.
Also going on:
* Trying to reach sales goal for first real month at new website
* Meeting every (crazy) pet person in Central Indiana
* shocked at the cocaine bust of a neighbor 3-doors down from us! RICO even cleared out the house of everything the same afternoon he was taken away in handcuffs! Part of a big 36-person drug bust!
* Missing my dogs, on this “take your dog to work day”
* Feeling pretty good about getting back into running routine and losing a couple of pounds this week! (thanks in no small part to drinking 40 oz. of water a day!
* Celebrating the first real rain since Memorial Day! Our trees have been in shock, and garden…well, there WAS a garden there…
I’ve been neglecting my blogging duties; have written plenty on the new IndyPaws website, however!
It’s been busy, trying to re-acclimate to a new schedule, keep up with housework when I come home tired every night, and get back into my regular running program to boot.
This week has been much better….week 4 of new job, running 2x-3x per week (okay, I’ve missed some, due to oversleeping), and thanks to 2 teenaged boys, the house isn’t too much of a wreck. Really need to rent that carpet cleaner, however.
Does a commercial carpet cleaner do a better job than a rental machine? Deeper clean?
I am so mad! Someone got into my LOCKED car and stole my purse while I was WORKING at a pet event today….okay, I know I shouldn’t've have left it in the car…my bad. But now they have my cell phone, my driver’s license, my social security card, various credit cards, , check book, insurance card, library card, etc. + my favorite wooden New Orleans pen, all my lipsticks and various other cosmetics, my cute wallet, 1-month-old purse, a couple important lists, etc.
I’m angry!!!!!!!!!!!! I’ve been violated! I spent over 2 hours on the phone today (mostly on hold) canceling all those cards and now I have to go to the BMV and the SSC as well…and no doubt wait in line there, too. AAAAAAGH!!!!
Here’s the amusing side of it, though….I’ve been totally inconvenienced by it all, but all the thieves got out of it was lunch at McDonalds and some gasoline….cards were denied at K-Mart, Lowes, and 2 different CVS’s. The checkbook is out of checks, my bank account has no money (another story; didn’t get my first paycheck yesterday!), the cards are maxed out and won’t work, and the cell phone is suspended so that won’t even work for them! hahaha They picked the wrong purse to steal.
So……now I have to go buy a new cell phone, wallet, lipstick, etc. etc. and hope that none of the business cards in my purse are ones I’ll be needing… But I can’t get those things right now, because I don’t have a debit card…or cash…or a charge card….or a checkbook!
Lemons… Life keeps giving me lemons….
