It does happen. I have a couple of young women who were just playing with Barbie dolls, or so it seems.

My baby boy, 25, GOT ENGAGED LAST NIGHT!
It’s very exciting though.
I think their senior year is really hard on a mom. I remember going through the year and everything was the “last banquet,” the “last band concert,” “the last baseball game.” Last, last, last. I felt at times like I was walking the plank with all of the “lasts.”
But life moves on; everyone’s interests change but you never stop being mom. Just redefined.
